Barbie: An American Icon

Wednesday, March 12, 2 pm

Rick Feingold, who holds an MBA from Penn State University and teaches business history, will discuss “How Barbie, an American Icon, Came to Be.” Learn about Ruth Handler, Barbie’s, Barbie’s creator.

Piano Concert

Friday, March 14, 2 pm

Dr. Szabo will play selections from works by Bach, Chopin, Liszt, Mozart, Scarlatti, Soler, and Rameau.  

Dr. Szabo earned undergraduate and master’s degrees at universities in Yugoslavia and master's degrees in organ performance and sacred music from Westminster Choir College, N.J., He also holds a doctor of musical arts in piano performance from Boston University.   

He is the director of music at Sacred Heart and Our Lady of Pompeii parish in Dobbs Ferry, music director and organist of the Oratorio Society of New Jersey, and choir director and organist at Temple B’nai Abraham, Livingston, N.J.  

Dr. Szabó is the founding member and artistic director of Szabó Chamber Music Society.

Hillary Jufer will share timely gardening tips. She is the horticulture program manager at CCE Westchester. She holds a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Cobleskill where she participated in an internship with the Cornell Nutrient Management Spear Program.
